Company History
It all started at the age of 8 when I would cut my dad's lawn with an old Craftsman Rotary Mower then I graduated to a '51 Willy's Jeep complete with gang mowers. It never seemed like work back then! With the blink of an eye, I was 17 years old and working as the fourth gardener at the Och's Estate, which was owned by the Sulzburger Family of the New York Times. It was there that I developed an eye for detail and complete appreciation for gardening and landscaping. In 1975 I completed my Associates Degree in Horticulture and in 1976 my B.A. degree. I joined Ralston Tree in 1978 where I gained my knowledge in the arbor culture field. Then came 1979, the Datsun Pickup, the Locke mower, the single axle trailer, and Piscataqua Landscaping. Who knew it would grow so fast. Today Piscataqua is a multi-million dollar landscape firm with over 35 employees, 22 vehicles, and a 7,000 square foot facility. We have had the opportunity to work at some of the finest residential and commercial properties in the seacoast area, winning many distinguished awards, and having been introduced to many of this industry's top associations. I am proud of where we are coming from and am looking forward to where we are going.

1979 seems like only yesterday when I was driving my Datsun pickup truck equipped with
my single axle trailer and Locke lawn mower working out of my office, which also
doubled as my bedroom. It was only one year later that I purchased my first real
office in Kittery Point, ME for what seems like pocket change today.
